New 'Clone' feature for Cost Centre Order tasks enhances scheduling flexibility

We've introduced a new capability to improve the management of Cost Centre Order (CCO) tasks in schedules:

  • Clone CCO tasks: A new 'Clone' icon is now available for CCO tasks that are not 100% completed or marked as deleted.
  • Easy task duplication: Cloned tasks are automatically added immediately after the original task in the schedule.
  • Improved vendor reporting: Cloned tasks appear as separate entries in vendor reports, providing clearer communication with subcontractors.

This feature is particularly useful when a subcontractor needs to return to a site multiple times to complete work covered by a single job order. By allowing task cloning, you can now more accurately represent the actual work schedule while maintaining the link to the original job order.

Schedule tasks no longer created for $0 cost centres

We made some improvements to enhance the efficiency and clarity of your job schedules:

  • Automatic exclusion of $0 cost centers: The system now creates Schedule Tasks only for Job Orders with amounts greater than $0.
  • Improved task organization: Tasks from the same Cost Centre are now grouped together and linked to the parent Critical Path task, rather than being added to the bottom of the list.

This update helps declutter your schedules by focusing on financially relevant tasks. By automatically excluding $0 cost centers and reorganizing related tasks, you'll find it easier to manage and visualize your project timelines. This change promotes a more accurate representation of your job's structure and resource allocation.

Enhanced task management: New deletion and restoration options for Schedule tasks

We've expanded task management capabilities in Schedules, offering more control and flexibility:

  • 'Delete' icon now available for additional Schedule task types, including certain Critical Path CCO tasks.
  • Critical Path CCO tasks are marked as deleted rather than fully removed, preserving important schedule data.
  • New 'Show Deleted' switcher in the Construction Schedule Gantt Chart allows viewing of marked-as-deleted tasks.
  • Deleted tasks appear in red with a 'Deleted' status when visible.
  • Confirmation dialogs warn of potential impacts on related tasks.
  • Marked-as-deleted tasks are hidden from the Combined Gantt Chart, Construction Schedule Worksheet, and Mobile App.
  • Deleted tasks cannot be edited and are excluded from 'Create predecessor' dialogs.
  • 'Undelete' icon allows for easy task restoration.
  • CCO Schedule Tasks linked to Critical Path are automatically undeleted if their Job Order amount changes from $0 to a positive value.
  • Marked-as-deleted tasks are excluded from calculations and several key reports.

These enhancements provide powerful tools for managing your schedules with greater precision, allowing you to maintain cleaner, more focused views while retaining important task data and the flexibility to restore tasks as needed.
