We've introduced a more efficient process for adding Cost Centre Order (CCO) tasks to job schedules. This feature activates when:
- New orders are added to a job estimate after schedule creation
- An existing $0 order is updated to a value greater than $0
Key improvements include:
-
Estimator-approved task creation: The system prompts estimators to approve new CCO tasks before adding them to the schedule, ensuring accuracy and control.
-
Intelligent grouping: Upon approval, new orders are grouped with existing ones for easier location in the schedule. For example, a newly created 'Order 1' will be positioned directly after the default 'Order 0' in the CCO task list.
-
Enhanced visibility: A new 'Var/CO' column in schedules, similar to Job Estimates, clearly identifies tasks stemming from variations or change orders.
-
Streamlined workflow: Supervisors receive notifications of unconfirmed schedule changes, allowing them to review and confirm updates efficiently.
These enhancements simplify the management of job variations and change orders, improving project oversight and scheduling accuracy.
